Yves Saint Laurent ~ Exotic Oasis

Yves Saint Laurent reclining on Berber carpets and pillows in his Marrakesh garden...
Why don't you transform your garden into an exotic oasis for entertaining this summer?

We just posted our special  collection of antique Zemmour tribal pillows & carpets that are perfect for at least a thousand & one nights of glamor camping. Handwoven by nomadic women during the mid. 20th. century in Morocco, this durable decorative art was originally created for tent interiors.  Yves Saint Laurent had a great collection these weavings...now on view at his 'Berber Museum' in Marrakech.  We also have a special collection of zemmour pillows and floor cushions for wedding & party rentals.

Marrakesh By Design ~ C'était écrit

Mektoub is a word in Moroccan Arabic that means 'destiny' or 'pre-destined'....

For many months, we have been looking forward to reading 'Marrakesh by Design' by Maryam Montague.... and we were thrilled when Nest Inspired Home asked for Moroccan decor & textiles from our collection for Maryam's book signing event in Rye, New York on May 15.
Our dear friend Chantelle Bibi of Artistic Frame also asked us to curate a little collection of our decorative metalwork & textiles  for Maryam's official New York book launch at the D & D building  on May 16 (here's the link)

The little glimpses of MyMarrakesh's style recently published in Lonny Magazine and Elle Decor show
a delicate mix of traditional Moroccan craft with modern furnishings arranged in open clear spaces with high ceilings and soaring arches. Exotic patterns are balanced by pure simple forms and a bold use of color. Soon we hope to add a signed book to our Moroccan design book library! Insha'Allah  إن شاء الله‎,

Spring Sequins

In Marrakesh....working on a custom tile order
for a boutique hotel in Sicily, and occasionally hopping on a bicycle
in a quest for camel saddles, a bright yellow pouf, 16th c. style sumac dyed leather,
more sequin wedding blankets and extra large beni ourain carpets.

In NYC....started redesigning our website, serving lemon verbena tea in the afternoons
to carpet clients, and looking for the perfect vintage Mercedes (must resemble a Marrakech taxi)
for local deliveries. Finally posted a few Moroccan wedding blankets on our web shop.
